Quote of the Day

“Pledges have unwritten power. By ratting on the brotherhood for hazing, a pledge can successfully cancel pledgeship altogether. Did I mention the added incentive? The pledge also digs himself his own grave. Seriously. There’s nothing worse a pledge could possibly do. So don’t do it.”

There is a difference in pointless “hazing” and constructive “hazing” but it is a very fine line

You’re right. Pointless hazing is what sororities do (can’t wear you’re hair up, can’t wear makeup, can’t have sex with boys). The rest is constructive.

So what exactly are the difference here? I highly doubt that most thongs you’d call constructive pledging is done not out of brotherhood or anything but immature power abuse.

Also, it’s bad to say not to “rat”. In any case. You might as well have a Mafia-system instead of a Greek-system.

I assume sticking shit up your ass and getting your ribs broken is “constructive”?
